CROKE PARK
The Dublin Diplomatic Conference took place in Croke Park, an 80,000 seat sports stadium in north Dublin, home of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). The conference facilities were wrapped around the upper levels of the stadium in a horseshoe shape. The official conference proceedings took place in the Hogan Suite and the Hogan Mezzanine, which seated approx. 500 delegates each. In addition, a number of smaller break out rooms were used for informal working groups.
The CMC had been given two office rooms above the Hogan Suite, where the media room and the CMC office were set up, as well as two larger suites at the other end of the building, the Cusack Suite and the Ash Suite. The bright and airy space of the Cusack Suite was used for exhibitions and displays, and the Ban Room was partitioned off in the centre of the suite. The Ash Suite was used for daily morning briefings, lunchtime events and workshops.

CMC EXHIBITIONS
A number of photographic and illustrative materials were displayed in the Cusack and Ash Suites at Croke Park for the duration of the Conference. The images, depicting both survivors and the devastating socio economic impact caused by the weapon, sought to act as a reminder to the international community of the humanitarian imperative that has driven the Oslo Process and urge them to negotiate the strongest possible treaty committed to the protection of civilians.
The following exhibitions were on display:
- Lebanon 2006, By Alison Locke for Landmine Action
- Regard sur le Laos, By Tom Wagner for Handicap International
- Unacceptable Harm- 40 years of cluster munitions, By Alison Locke for Landmine Action
- Legacies of War, Photos by Phil Borges and historic illustrations of the bombings of Laos by Laotian villages. These illustrations were collected between 1970-71 in Vientiane refugee camps where victims of the bombings fled.
