Take action on cluster munition use

Continued global outrage following incidents of use is crucial to maintain strong stigmatisation of cluster munitions and to help prevent further use. It was the global outrage at use of the weapon in Lebanon (and other countries) that secured the 2008 Convention on Cluster Munitions.

Contact your Ministry of Foreign Affairs and ask that your government publicly condemns the use of cluster munitions. Such condemnations or expressions of concern can be made in online statements, at Meetings of States Parties, at UN First Committee meetings and during other regional or international meetings. Governments should also use bilateral dialogue to call on users to renounce the weapon.
