Has your government signed or ratified the ban on cluster bombs? Find out here.

Write to your government - most often the Minister of Foreign Affairs is responsible for this issue - requesting they sign and ratify the Convention on Cluster Munitions.

1. Letters to governments of countries that need to RATIFY the Convention

Countries that have signed the Convention on Cluster Munitions must now ratify it and begin to implement its provisions, now that it has entered into force. The Convention also requires States Parties to promote a universal ban on cluster munitions by encouraging other countries to join.

2. Letters to governments of countries that need to ACCEDE to the Convention

Now that the Convention has entered into force, states that have not yet signed the Convention must now accede - a step that combines both signing and ratification - at the United Nations headquarters in New York. When it entered into force on 1 August 2010, 108 countries had already signed the Convention.
